How long have you been in business?

Officially since 1999. But our experience with website design and development goes back to 1995.

How many people do you employ?

As of March 2006, we employ four people specializing in creative design, programming and search engine marketing. Our team is highly skilled, very experienced and exceptionally knowledgeable.

We also have several strategic relationships with marketing agencies and IT consultants that expand and enhance our services as needed.

Are you local or national?

About half our clients are located in Central Washington, and about another 30% in the Pacific Northwest. Approximately 20% of our clients are located throughout the United States and abroad.

How many clients have you completed projects for?

Over the years we have completed approximately 200 client projects.

Who are the largest clients you have done projects for?

In the Pacific Northwest, 3rd Studio has done graphic and photographic work for Tree Top. Nationally, we have provided an online solution for Safeway Store's Pharmacies. Other large or well known clients include BIT Statement Processing (electronic statement delivery for approximately 80 financial institutions nationwide, a product developed by 3rd Studio and featured on World Business Review with Alexander Haig), the Yakima Bears minor league baseball team, and Yakima Public Schools.

Our clients range from smaller local shops, to $7+ billion per year Forturne 100 companies. 3rd Studio is capable of meeting the needs of any sized company, yet our primary focus has tended to be small- to medium-sized companies. Our clients look to us to provide top class internet media solutions, at a very competitive cost.

Which technologies are you proficient in?

3rd Studio's expertise includes both Window and Unix based servers. Development languages include Classic ASP, ASP.NET, PHP, javascript (DOM), VB, PERL, XHTML, XML, CSS and ActionScript. Databases include MSSQL, MySQL and Access (although Access is not recommended for internet use). Programs we employ include Macromedia Studio (primarily Dreamweaver and Flash Professional), Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Affects, Acrobat Pro and Premier, Apple's Final Cut Pro, and several other tools.

What kind of website testing do you do?

Each project requires a different level of testing. But if required, we can test more than 50 different browsers on six different operating systems. You know before your site goes live how well it will perform for everyone.

What is your development process?

Our only goal is to deliver a product to you that meets or exceeds your needs. A typical process would look like this: We work with you to develop an overall scope for the project. This is where we determine how the site will function to best serve you. Next we design templates based on the targeted market and purpose of the site. We keep tweaking these designs until we have one that meets your approval. Then we build the site to ensure it is standards compliant, able to be viewed in all target browsers/platforms, and functions flawlessly. We perform rigorous internal testing, but also have you test. Once everything is perfect, we go live.

This same philosophy applies to all of our work - identity, custom programing, digital media, even hosting. And you are an integral part of that process, where you choose how involved you would like to be.

Is your code Standards Compliant?

Absolutely. We code to W3C specifications for XHMTL (transitional or strict), CSS, DOM and other accessiblity standards such as 508. Standards Compliance is vital because it means your website can be viewed by more people with different browsers and accessibilty issues, seach engines can index more data from your site, and ongoing costs for maintenance and future revisions are much less.

Can you create Flash Animations for the web or CD?

We sure can. We've been working with Flash since 1998 and have created award winning sites, as well as digital brochures used to promote various products. Flash production can be everything from simple "hightlight" animations on your website, to full rich media applications with video and audio for interactive CD-ROM presentations.

Can you integrate audio and/or video into websites?

3rd Studio can do full audio and video production for your website or digital brochure. We can even shoot the video for you. We use Canon's XL2 for video capture, Adobe Affer Effects and Apple Final Cut Pro for production.
