Responsive design is where the site layout adjusts and adapts to the screen size. Text can change size for easy reading. Images can re-size to fit the screen. But it isn't perfect. Tables don't re-size well.

Some Registrars say if you purchase your domain for a longer period, such as 5-10 years, it will help your search engine ranking. Is that just a sales pitch? Maybe, maybe not.
